In Sweden, extensive work is underway to strengthen civil defense and prepare society for heightened readiness.

As a critical societal function, the Rescue Service of Storgöteborg has a special responsibility to develop our capabilities; in everyday life, crises, and ultimately war.

We are now strengthening our RUHB function (Rescue Service under heightened preparedness) and are looking for preparedness coordinators who want to help build and develop our long-term preparedness capability.

About the assignment

The RUHB function is located within the Department for Operations and Capability and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving the transition of RSG's operations in preparation for heightened readiness. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the security function, other departments, and external actors.

As a preparedness coordinator, you will work both strategically and operationally to strengthen the organization's capabilities. The assignment includes, among other things:

• Planning and developing RSG's work in rescue services under heightened preparedness
• Driving and coordinating continuity planning
• Preparing and coordinating the organization's war organization
• Developing and managing governing documents and planning materials to create conditions for core operations
• Collaborating with member municipalities, authorities, and other external actors

You will have a central role in a partially new operational field where the pace of development is high and the assignment is long-term.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant academic education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience in working with preparedness planning, security coordination, or similar
• Experience in planning and coordinating larger organization-wide assignments or projects
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B

It is meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge in security protection and/or signal protection
• Experience in continuity management
• Experience working in public operations, especially within emergency services or similar

Other

Your employment will include military placement at the Rescue Service of Storgöteborg with general service obligation, which means you are obliged to serve during heightened preparedness or war.

Before employment, alcohol and drug testing may be conducted according to the organization's policy and in collaboration with occupational health services. The position is classified for security and requires Swedish citizenship. Travel may occur within the position.
